🌟 About Us

My name is Parisa Aminolahi. I am an award-winning filmmaker and photographer with a background in theatre, animation, and documentary filmmaking, holding a BA in Theatre Stage Design, a Master’s in Animation from the University of Art in Tehran, and a Master’s in Documentary Filmmaking from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Alongside my professional work, I have spent the past few years helping children and young people explore various art disciplines, from elementary school to college level.

As a mother of two, I see every day how mobile phones and screens shape our world, often in ways that feel negative or distracting. Instead of fighting technology, I wanted to turn it into a tool for creativity, storytelling, and collaboration. That’s how Mini Movie Makers Club was born.

At Mini Movie Makers Club, children don’t come to watch films, they come to create them from scratch. They invent characters, imagine stories, write scripts, act, and film together as a team. At the end of the program, they proudly share their work at a small premiere with family. This hands-on process nurtures imagination, confidence, and teamwork, while giving children a deeper appreciation of films, because they now understand the creativity and collaboration that go into making them. 

The club also shows kids that mobile devices and tablets can be used for something meaningful: capturing ideas, expressing themselves, and working together creatively, not just scrolling endlessly. It’s a “two-in-one” learning journey:

• Making films with joy, imagination, and collaboration

• Developing media literacy and using technology as a creative tool

Through Mini Movie Makers Club, I hope to give children the excitement of storytelling, the confidence to perform and create, and the joy of seeing their own ideas come to life on screen.
